They've only got 5 committs so far. They're only going to sign about 18.
Anthony Anderson from Austin East will be a db. He has good size and good speed. Probably will be rated as a 3*.
Todd Campbell is a WR from Franklin. He is the godson of former UT WR Joey Kent. Probably a high 3* or low 4*.
Kevin Cooper is a fb from Chatagnooga. He'll probably he a high 3*.
Tyler Maples is from Maryville, so Ron can probably tell you more about him. He's more than likely a WR. Probable 3*.
Darris Sawtelle is an OT out of Michigan. His grandfather was an all American at Tennessee. He'll probably he a high 4*.
Probably in the next month or so they should get committs from LB Chris Donald, S Harrison Smith. Not likely to happen really soon, but eventually will be Qb/DB Eric Berry. His dad was a phenom at UT. All three of these mentioned could be rated as 5*'s.
"There he goes, one of Gods own prototypes. Some kind of high powered mutant never even considered for mass production. Too weird to live, and too rare to die"
What about that guy from Alcola??
that Lindsey guy
I'm sorry, trio. This is the recruits they have for this coming recruiting season. Dustin Lindsey was in this past years class. He'll probably be attending Hargrave Academy this fall though, along with Vinson. Were you interested in the kids they signed in February or the kids that have committed so far?

well both really but mostly this season's signees
Dustin Lindsey has the talent to be a very good SEC back. He doesn't have the grades.
The best player in UT's class will be Walter Fisher. I saw him as a sophomore dominate against Maryville. He is a juco defensive end.He played for Hillsboro.
I look for Ramone Johnson and Jacques McClenden to be good offensive linemen.
This isn't a star studded clas coming in.
The state of Tennessee will have one of its greatest years ever for instate talent. Golden Tate,Harrison Smith and Chris Donald are national recruits. UT has to get those guys. From what those guys from coachT tell me Golden Tate is unreal. I saw Smith play twice on TV. He dominated. I saw Chris Donald vs Alcoa in 2004. He is a stud.
Anthony Anderson and Tyler Maples are clones. They both can fly. I never saw Todd Campbell play. They say he is a stud.
Other instate players that are getting attention are Rae Sykes of Alcoa. Sykes has all the tools but he doesn't always play hard. 2008 prospect Aaron Douglas of Maryville whipped Sykes all game long in the 2005 Maryville/Alcoa game. Douglas is already 6'6 250lbs.
Kevin Cooper is a fullback already commited to UT. He is from Chattanooga.
Knox Powell has 2 big linemen that is getting a lot of attention. John Bruin and Jared McGaha. Bruin is 6'4 300lbs. McGaha is 6'5 280lbs.
Dennis Rogan is a kid from Fulton who is being highly recruited. This kid is even faster than Maples or Anderson.

I think Ron is right on who will be some of the standouts. Ramone Johnson, Jaques McClendon, Cody Pope, and Darius Myers have a chance to be very good OL. Walter Fisher and Brent Vinson have a chance to be the two best players in the class. Fisher was in the spring game, but if I'm not mistaken hurt is shoulder and will more than likely miss this season from surgery. Vinson like I said earlier will be in prep school. They also got a qb from Texas, Nick Stephens who may turn out to be pretty good. He wasn't rated that highly because he transfered schools after his jr year. Most "experts" think that he and Dorian Davis (lb out of Iowa) were the two steals of the class. Other players who I think could be quality players are...Quintin Hancock WR, Stephaun Raines DB, Lee Smith DL, Luke Stocker TE. You and Rob both Mentioned Lindsey at rb, from everything I've heard Chavis already has him pegged as a lb.
